Listening and empathy come first.
An in-depth consultation, a panoramic or single x-rays if necessary and the support of intra-oral photos by means of a high-fidelity macro lens, allow for an accurate diagnosis. This, together with the clearest and most comprehensive explanation possible, allow patients to understand the situation at hand and the best possible way to cure it. The thousands of archive photos and details of previous cases are further tools available to illustrate and clarify the care necessary for a healthy mouth and comfortable chewing.
The First Visit
Before examining a new patient’s mouth and teeth, we introduce ourselves and establish her/his specific needs and assess her/his dental and general medical history. In this way we can identify any existing conditions that could be of relevance during treatment.
All check-ups and treatments, from the simplest to the most complex, are carried out in a completely clean and sterile environment.
Emergencies
We know how much suffering toothache, severe tooth sensitivity, swollen, painful or bleeding gums, a broken tooth, an old denture can cause.
This is why we do our very best to receive, on the same day, people who need to be seen urgently.
An immediate diagnosis of the problem area allows us to establish the best necessary intervention and prescribe the most suitable painkiller and, in case of infection, an appropriate antibiotic before starting any treatment.
Long lasting treatments
The duration of our treatments for many years is guaranteed by the high quality of our techniques, as well as the materials we use; from the constant renewal of our equipment which, year after year, is checked by specialized technicians and maintained in perfect working order or replaced.
Our long-standing patients can bear witness to the very high quality of our care, confirming that our fillings, implants and crowns remain intact, 20 or even 30 years later.
Maximum hygiene
The dental chair, all surfaces and equipment are carefully covered in cellophane which is removed and replaced at the end of each session and disposed of in special waste bins. Throwaway sterile gloves are always worn. All instruments that come into contact with patients are either disposable or single use. This procedure guarantees, for everyone, maximum hygiene at all times.
Non disposable instruments are sterilized after each use using high pressure saturated steam at over 130°C and approximately 2 atmospheres. The autoclave and all machinery used in the surgery undergo professional periodical check-ups and are updated using certified protocols authorized by the local Health Service department (USL).
